The colors of health are everywhere. They are all over the world, everywhere we look...just a rainbow of food.
But do you know what the colors mean ??
Do you know that each color has a purpose, each color has their own benefits.
Well, it is time to break it all down, so you can see the benefits of what you are, or are not eating.

RED.....Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant is the dominant reason for the red colors. Lycopene is associated with the ability to lower the risks of some cancers, especially prostrate cancer. Lycopene also helps prevent against heart attacks, helps lower blood pressure, and lower LDL Cholesterol. A surprising fact about Lycopene is that cooking actually enhances the effect of this nutrient, where most think of cooking, or adding heat as destroying nutrients.

BLUE / PURPLE......this color is created by a substance called Anthocyanins. They are strong antioxidants that are particularly heart healthy, and support healthy blood pressure. They support eye health, lower LDL Cholesterol, boost the immune system, has anti-cancer properties for the digestive tract, and fights inflammation. This color is the highest level of antioxidants of any color.

GREEN......the primary reason for green is Chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the molecule that is responsible for facilitating one of the most incredibly miraculous processes on earth.....the process of Photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process that converts sunlight energy, water and carbon dioxide into our primary source of fuel....glucose. One of the most interesting aspects of chlorophyll is how closely it resembles our red blood cells, known as hemoglobin. The hemoglobin of the red blood cell and the chlorophyll of the plant are virtually identical in molecular structure. It works to detoxify the body, it is a blood cleanser and purifier, it balances the bodies PH, they lower blood pressure, and fight colon / digestive cancers.

ORANGE / YELLOW......This primary color is from Beta-Carotene, well known for eye health. This color is also a massive supplier of Vitamin C, which is a primary immune booster and disease fighter. Beta-Carotene is essential for bone and skin health, they help with cataracts, they help with blood sugar regulation, they are a strong anti-inflammatory, they may inhibit breast cancer. Also....supposedly rubbing Lemons on a skin blemish over and over, will make alot of skin blemishes disappear over time.

WHITE...... Contain nutrients such as Beta-Glucans, EGCG, SDG, and Lignans that provide powerful immune boosting activity. White can regulate hormone levels, helping to fight all hormone related cancers. White helps fight cancers of the breast and bowel, they are shown to increase Calcium absorption, they are a powerful antibiotic, powerful anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial. They also have high amounts of B Vitamins, and are very heart healthy.

SO.....do you eat your rainbow every day.....or not ????

If you don't......maybe you should start now.......
